Solid neighborhood go-to! Consistently great food and atmosphere. If you have the right mindset going in, you'll be satisfied at Malatesta! It won't totally knock your socks off but it's also not priced as if it will. Prepare for solid Italian food at an amazing price and you will not be disappointed!!

Very friendly service and no wait for dinner on the earlier side both on a weekday and on the weekend. The quality of the food is really good, and the wine selection is great as well - both for bottles and glasses. I was blown away by how they did their lemon garlic spinach - and I never thought in my life I could be blown away by a side of SPINACH. Very nice neighborhood place for a casual and high quality meal. The tiramisu is also fantastic!

Had the spinach gnocchi. The gorgonzola sauce was really heavy and creamy but so delicious. Portion for that dish was decent. In general, the portions for the pasta dishes tend to be on the smaller size. The ambience and service was good. Prices weren't bad either!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in New York. It's small, homey, and warm. Great service: Tonino is a welcoming and friendly restauranteur. Delicious food: Don't miss the house made pasta. You can mix and match sauces and pasta if you like too. Note: it is cash only.
